Attended Voiceover Workshop

Yesterday, I attended a fascinating workshop on breaking into the voiceover business.
It's something I've been considering since I left my job as a TV news anchor.
The workshop was presented by Mike Ray and really opened my mind up to things I hadn't considered before.
Like lots of "TV people" we think we have what it takes to do voiceovers since we voice stories and appear on-camera. But the workshop really showed me that for commercial purposes, I need to expand my vocal range, relax and be more relatable. Even try some "character" voices.

Before this workshop I had already invested in a Mac Book Pro laptop:

And a Samson C01U microphone:

Mike Ray recommended the Blue Snowball Microphone seen in the top left side of your screen.
